About Our School Admissions

Main School Admissions

All parents want to choose the right school for their child and we encourage parents to visit our school so that they have a good understanding of our provision and our ethos. Dates for our open days will be published in our newsletter or in the parish newsletter, please telephone the school office to book your place for these tours.

If you are applying for a place in next year’s Reception Class/Year 3 September Main Round (determined admissions round) you should complete Southend Borough Council’s Single Application Form (SAF) which must be submitted to them by 15th January 2024. The best way to apply is online at www.southend.gov.uk/admissions but if you require a paper application these can be obtained from the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend.

You must also complete our Supplementary Information Form (SIF) and this should be submitted, along with your child's Baptismal certificate (if applicable), to our school office by 22nd January 2024. Offer day, when parents are notified of the outcome of their application, is 16th April 2024.

If you are applying for a place mid-year, you DO NOT need to complete the Council’s form but will need to complete the In-Year Application Form.

Schools admissions: applications for overseas children

In most cases, children arriving from overseas have the right to attend schools in England.

It is the responsibility of parents to check that their children have a right, under their visa entry conditions, to study at a school. To help parents we recommend that those wishing to apply for a state funded school check that they have a right of right of abode or the conditions of their visas otherwise permit access a state-funded school.

Foreign nationals cannot use the 6 month visitor visa or a 6 month short-term study visa to enter the UK to enrol as a pupil at a school. Find out what these visas can be used for on the visitor visa and short term study visa pages.

Find out more visit the Department for Education.
